How should I fix the holes forming around my cement walkway in our backyard? We have tried filling it with gravel and sand but the hole reappears very shortly after. Thanks!
Hi @Waltorin23,
A warm welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community and thank you for your question.
Is there a water source at the top of the path? Possibly a downpipe or something similar?
It seems like water is running down the centre of the path, whether above or below the ground. To fix the erosion issue, you would need to address the issue of drainage first.
With the drainage issue fixed, you will have to dig out the erosion channel, add drainage gravel and then compact it with a tamper.
When the drainage gravel is compacted, it will ensure the material is interlocked in a way where water can flow through it without eroding it away.
Once this compaction has been achieved, you can reinstate the pathway.
Let me know what you think.
