How to fix ceiling panels that are loose?

How do I fix these ceiling panels in our alfresco that seem to have come undone? Is it a DIY job or do I need to get a trade in? thank you!!IMG_4815.jpeg

Re: How do I fix these ceiling panels in our alfresco that seem to have come undone? thanks

Hi @Tine,

Thank you for your question about fixing some ceiling panels in your alfresco area.

Is it possible to get some photos of the panels that are still fixed in place?

It looks like some fixings have either completely come out of the ceiling or have backed out of the panels in the locations I've marked below.

If these holes are everywhere, then I suspect the fixings have fallen out, or have been removed.

To fix the dropped ceiling, you will need to slip the edges of the sheets back into the cover strips and then reattach the panels to the ceiling structure.

You can use some Buildex 9 - 10 x 32mm Zinc Alloy 3 Star Head Fibre Cement Screws through the panels into the framing to fix the ceiling back into place.

Let me know what you think and if you have further questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

Jacob
