They're evolving (Magpies) and I'm sure after many strategy meetings, they have decided to try a flanking approach in combination with a rearward approach when swooping. Last year I was struck on the side of the face resulting in a small piece of ear being removed. I have the photos to prove it.
Same attack method experienced this year.
I tried the small cable ties to the helmet last month - but they persist, even striking the helmet.
But then I tried just two long 500mm cable ties at the rear of the helmet that 'flap' about when riding.
It's been very successful. I hear them behind me, but they never strike...
Any other successful methods/solutions out there?
Cheers.
I will try that next season. 😁
