How to connect lcc27 bbq gas bottle?

Hi

I bought the small 2 person bbq and it has a lcc27 hose. My gas bottle has the thread on the outside so I believe it’s the correct one.

but when I connect the hose to the gas bottle there is a leak, because the valve is loose against the nut see pic - highlighted in red.

what am I doing wrong here? Thanks!

id like to now swap the bottle to rule it out. Sorry for the delay but only just got to this.

would that still be possible for me to switch out the bottles to ensure it works? I can take the cable with me to ensure it does fit.

Yes, it is still possible for you to swap the bottle over. If it is ok with you, please bring the hose as well to make sure that it fits properly.
