How to connect Gasmate two burner camping stove to regular 9kg lpg bottle?

I have an off grid cabin,

It uses 9kg swap-and-go lpg bottles for water, cooking, bbq, heating etc.

I recently purchased a Gasmate Double Burner Wok Cooker which was very powerful and made it difficult to simmer..

It connected directly into the gas extension hose I have coming into the kitchen from the gas bottle outside.

Last month I purchased a Gasmate 2 Burner Portable Camping Stove which stated it used LPG and attached to Universal LFP bottle. I did not realise that Universal must have referred to a brand and not the traditional Swap-and-Go bottle.

Consequently, it cannot connect to my extension hose, or indeed to a traditional 9kg LPG bottle.

I need an adaptor. It will have two male ends.

One to go into the 3/8" -19 BSPP-LH Thread female end of the Gasmate hose.

The other being a standard 3/8" SAE male fitting.

Where might I find such a fitting, or is there a work-around?

Re: How to connect Gasmate two burner camping stove to regular 9kg lpg bottle?

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @ashmoreavenue. It's a pleasure to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about the Gasmate camping stove.

First and foremost, it's important to understand that the Gasmate camping stove and wok burner are not approved for use in enclosed spaces like kitchens or cabins. I have serious concerns for your safety and the safety of others in your cabin if you're using these appliances indoors. These types of stoves are designed strictly for outdoor use in well-ventilated areas due to the carbon monoxide hazard they present. Using them in an enclosed space may cause death.

ONLY USE IN WELL-VENTILATED AREAS. CARBON MONOXIDE HAZARD - USING THIS APPLIANCE IN AN ENCLOSED SPACE MAY CAUSE DEATH. DO NOT USE IN CARAVANS, TENTS, MARINE CRAFT, CARS, MOBILE HOMES OR SIMILAR LOCATIONS.

If you're looking for a solution for cooking in your off-grid cabin, I strongly recommend investigating an approved gas stove specifically designed for indoor use. These stoves are engineered with safety features that are necessary for enclosed environments and should be professionally installed to meet safety regulations.

While I understand you are asking about a fitting or workaround, I must prioritise your safety and advise against any attempt to connect this portable camping stove to your indoor gas system. The risk is simply too high.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks Mitchell

my cabin is very basic and the kitchen area is on an open deck so fumes are not a problem   However I would prefer not to have the LPG bottle on the deck.

That's great to hear, @ashmoreavenue, as your safety is our number one priority.

Provided your deck area complies with the requirements below, a Gasmate Adaptor - LCC27 to 3/8" BSPP LH can be used to adapt an LCC27 gas cylinder (new type with external thread) and allows you to connect a camping stove hose.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
