I got this pergola about a year ago and the cloth has all ripped and gone. I am planning to somehow put a Polycarbonate roof and would like to have some ideas if the curved roof could somehow be changed to pitched roof. That'll mean raising the height by putting some some beam or structure on one side of the pergola to install corrugated PC sheets.
Any ideas.
Hi @Raja,
Thank you for your question about the Marquee Charcoal Extendable Steel Gazebo.
Unfortunately, I can't recommend altering your gazebo so that the roof is pitched rather than curved.
Kit gazebos like this are engineered, tested and built to standards that don't allow for alterations like you are proposing.
I'm sorry, but we can only offer advice on things that are in line with our product manufacturer's recommendations, and unfortunately, this is not something they would recommend.
If you'd like a pitched gazebo with a polycarbonate roof, you may need to consider building one or hiring someone to build one for you.
Let me know if you have any other questions.
Jacob
