How to build bench seating for fire pit?
Hey all just some advice on constructing bench seating for a bbq firepit area
Live in Bellarine Peninsula VIC. What cuts type of timber am I for? And how am I doing the legs? It will be set up on a similar area as pictures and looking at one of these two designs
Cheers

Re: advice on bench seating for fire pit
Hi @amichaelmedia,
That's some quite large lumber, and I'm unaware of any products we carry that are of that calibre. The second image and benches would be relatively easy to replicate by using two 200 x 75mm Sleeper H4 Hardwood CCA 1.8m stacked on top of each other and bolted together. That will leave you with seats 200 x 150mm. The legs could be made by cutting a third sleeper down the middle and sectioning it into 200mm long lengths.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
