How to build a new deck where current pavers are?

Hi there,
Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated... We are building a new deck in an area with pavers in the back. We have an uneven area of pavers up against timber sleepers in the garden corner, my question is - what would you advise that we use to put under the decking to make the area level? If we put 'build tuff' as bases and attached the whole frame base to the side sleepers, would this work?  .

Oh man!!! @ricm

You just had me beaming at the job and your words! Thankyou! But really you did the hard work  and it certainly has paid off! LOVE it

From what was to what is, its been dragged kicking and screaming into a modern useful area! How many times have you spent the money you saved on potential other projects? Thats what I do, I reckon I re-allocate 5 times at least the money I save on different possible projects.

Love the little trolly that could  I have so many photos of exactly the same thing. Seriously it outweighs a wheelbarrow in usefulness I think (one dodgy wrist may help me with that opinion)

Very happy to have given ideas, Would love to see it all in a project. (not this thread even tho its got a lot of info in it) but yyour own "Project" to start you on the path of helping others out with similar issues  you have been there, done that!

Great video btw

Hi Ric,

Having come on board with the Workshop team in April when your project commenced, I have been following along since the start and have to say your deck project has been one of the most rewarding things I've been a part of over the course of the last 10 months.

I hope your pool deck brings your friends, your family and of course yourself, great joy for years to come.

Thank you for sharing your deck-building journey with us, it's been a privilege to help out along the way @ricm

Jacob
