Hi
I would like help with a plan and materials guide for my deck. It is 9m long x 7m wide
It is 200mm above ground level at the house and is 450mm above ground level at the end of the 9m. There will need to be steps at the high end back down to ground level. Step can be 2m wide.
Thanks
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @homebuilder. It's wonderful to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about building a deck.
It would be a good idea to check out this guide on How to build a low-level deck, as it will give you a great starting point. You will also find the step-by-step guide on How to build a deck helpful.
Before getting started, it’s important to check with your local council to see if approval is required for your deck. Given its size, you may need to submit plans, which will need to be created by a draftsperson or engineer.
The direction you plan to run your decking boards will determine how the supporting structure beneath needs to be constructed. If you can let us know which way you’d like the decking to run, we can provide more details on how to plan out your deck effectively.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
