Hi, I am looking to update my front stairs and want to build a landing level with the doorway that covers up the old concrete stairs and then add some stairs coming off it down to the driveway. Anyone have an experience with something similar? Thanks.

Hello @lhsmith089
It does appear that you'll be building a small, raised deck with steps at the end. To get you started, I suggest taking measurements of the area, such as how far is it from the concrete floor to the bottom of the door frame? What is the total length of the concrete walkway including the concrete stairs, and how wide is it? I encourage you to check out landing designs that might work with your space and doing a preliminary drawing of your plans.
Before you begin, I suggest checking out your local council's rules and regulations regarding building a landing in front of your door. Once you've finished your design, I suggest sharing it with the community along with any questions you might have regarding your plan.
If you have any other questions we can help with, please let us know.
