How to attach a sensor light to steel?
Hi. What’s the best outdoor double sided tape? I’m trying to stick a solar sensor light to steel. I’ve cleaned with Krud kutter and it sticks for a while then falls.

Re: best outdoor double sided tape
Hi @ntyerman,
A warm welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community and thank you for your question.
I have used Scotch-Mount Extreme Double-Sided Mounting Tape in a similar situation with great results.
Is there a reason you can't use screws?
They are usually a better option for mounting lights, but I can understand if it's not a great option for you.
Let me know what you think.

Re: best outdoor double sided tape
Hi. I drilled into the steel but the screws supplied with the light wouldn’t screw into the holes. I don’t want to drill into new steel in the other area.

Re: best outdoor double sided tape
Hi @ntyerman,
Can you upload some photos of the steel, where the screw sits in the light and the screws you were supplied with? Let me know if you need a hand with this, I'm happy to help if required.
You may be able to use a heavier gauge screw or a plug in the same holes to avoid using new screws.
The mounting tape I recommended will work well, but if we can use a screw, then that would be ideal.
Let me know how you go.
Jacob
