Hi, how do I fix the cracks on the concrete patio and how do I paint this area. The concrete has a faux rock pattern which is fine but the joins also look like they need a filler. I’m looking for tips and products please. I’m a new home owner
Hi @gemcat29
Great news on your new home.
As that concrete is coloured a standard concrete repair color usually grey may stand out as much as the original cracks.
Another point that concrete may still be moving and a fixed crack repair may fail later on.
So I highly recomend the following as it comes in sand stone colour as well. This product will stretch and contract with the concrete movements
You will need a caulking gun and make sure you get the free larger nozzles for this tube as standard ones dont fit.
Clean up any messes with turps and a rag ASAP with in 10 mins so rubbing is more easy.
Get the sandstone color if it suits you.
Thank you so so much for your help! Do you have any suggestions for painting the concrete? Products or method? I so appreciate your help!
Hello @gemcat29
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us and thanks for sharing your question about fixing the cracks and painting your concrete patio.
It's great that you've received excellent advice from @Jewelleryrescue. I totally agree with the suggestions made, I also recommend having a look at the Dulux Concrete and Paving system and the Berger Jet Dry 4L Heavy Duty Deep Charcoal Paving Paint along with the White Knight White Heavy Duty Ultra Pave Concrete And Paving Paint.
Here is a handy step-by-step guide: How to paint concrete floors.
