I had an outdoor cinderblock wall that I mostly knocked down. There’s still a bit left over that’s a bit rough. I was wondering how to best make a smooth top. Do I need to put quick cement on top? How would I do that?
Hi @patcod,
A warm welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is fantastic to have you with us.
My suggestion is to add a row of capping blocks such as these Brighton Masonry 390 x 190 x 40mm Cap Besser Block to the top of the wall.
Give the top of the wall a good clean with a stiff bristled brush to remove any dirt or loose material, then lay your capping blocks on top of the wall using a bed of mortar to set them in place.
Allow me to tag @Dave-1, and @TedBear to see if they have other ideas.
Let me know what you think.
Jacob
Good Afternoon @patcod
I would also suggest a row of capping stones along the top with some mortar for them to rest on. It will make it look a lot tidier and bring it back to looking like its doing its job
Dave
