My armchair arms have split due to sun. The chair itself is in good condition. I had thought about adding timber to the arms, but as arms have a slight curve I was unsure this idea could be achieved ?

It would be helpful for our members if you could post some images of the chairs to illustrate their style, the slight curve and the extent of the damage. Adding timber might still be an option but it will depend on how slight the curve is and whether a straight piece of timber will suit the style.
I'm sure there are some other options to consider and some images will allow our members to give some great solutions to your issue.
