This scooter was made from recycled 100 year old oak there are no screw or nail used and is constructed with dowles and glue. The only metal components are the axels and pivot pin which I machined.
The plans I used were from a 1940 magasine.
Lovely work @r23on. Many thanks for sharing your first project on Workshop with us.
I'm sure community members who use hand tools like @AndrewJones will particularly appreciate your handiwork. Andrew also likes to create things with traditional techniques. You can read more of his story and see some of his work here - https://www.workshop.com.au/t5/Blog/Handmade-and-built-to-last/ba-p/4650
Let me also extend a very warm welcome to the Workshop community. It's fantastic to have you join us. You obviously have wonderful skills and experience to share, and I trust you will also get helpful advice and lots of inspiration for your future projects from your fellow community members.
Please let me know if you ever need a hand getting the most from the site.
