Made this 1.8 m high( 900 wide) garden gate to match my 1.8 m high fence. Gives me access to reserve at the back of my property.
1.8 long fence palings 150x19x1800
Decking timber: 90x19
Bosch Blue drill and drivers
1. Buy 6 fence palings 150x19x1800
2. Cut decking timber to borders at 45 degree angle
3. Screw decking timber border to palings
4. Attach brackets and hang on fence
5. Attach lock mechanism to gate
Great work, @Oreoprojects! I'd imagine that was quite a budget-friendly way of creating a gate and your construction methods looks the bee knees. Have any images of the gate in place?
Well done, and many thanks for sharing your project.

Hi. Mitchell. Thanks for the positive comments. I have attached a photo of the gate attached to the fence. Yes - it was very cost effective - materials from Bunnings Botany in Akl(always great staff in the the timber yard) cost me approx $80. I was quoted $550 - $650 for someone to make a similar gate.
That looks terrific @Oreoprojects!
Many thanks for sharing the additional images. I can't wait to see what project you tackle next.
