Flasing over Window Infill

Flasing over Window Infill

Hi I’m planning to put up a Pergola at the back of my house. I am planning to fix one edge of the pergola to the wall but the edge will run over a cavity that has a cement infill panel. I’d like to close the gap with flashing but not sure what would work the best? If attached an image showing in red when the pergola ledger will be and black highlight showing the opening I’d like to close off between the pergola ledger and the existing infill panel.

Re: Flasing over Window Infill

Hi @MartyMcFly,

A warm welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community and thank you for your question.

Have a look at our supplier Lysaght's flashing guide

On page 24 you will see non-standard roof flashings, cappings and gutters. I would suggest using the Type 5 flashing I have circled below.

The leg marked A will be attached to the wall with the top edge sealed, B will bridge the gap, and C will be notched into the profile of the roofing material and be sealed against it.

As this is a non-standard flashing, you will have to order it through the Special-Orders desk at your local Bunnings.

Let me know what you think and if you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

Jacob
