ENTRANCE TILES CRACKED

The tiles in my front entrance  have  cracked .I propose to remove the cracked tiles and fit new  ones.

could i be guided as to how to remove the cracked tiles and fit new ones...Out of the four which  are cracked (Photos attached ) .. two tiles will need to be cut and fitted. Please advise how to remove the old tiles, cut the tiles  and fix  the same.

Re: ENTRANCE TILES CRACKED

Hi @nfds

Hit the tiles with the corner of a hammer (not the flat of the hammer) To cause the tile to break more.  With gloves as tiles are sharp like glass lift up the broken pieces with a flat bladed screwdriver or good scraper and bin it asap scrape old grout lines off surrounding tile edges ready for new tile/

To cut a tile you need an angle grinder and mask and diamond blade.  good for odd shapes and L cuts. your tile looks 400mm so a hand tile cutter to small.

Apply any tile glue 10mm notched trowel and lower the tile on the glue tapping it in place with a white rubber hammer or the ball of your hand so it is level with the other tiles.  if you push to hard lift the tile and start again.

Hope this helps
