How do you fix a tile without replacing it?

Hole in tile.jpegThe best way to fix a damaged tile is to replace it. But if you need to repair damage to a tile, you can fill the damaged section with Selleys 50g Knead It Multipurpose Epoxy Putty.

The epoxy putty is very convenient to use. First, make sure that the damaged spot is free of dust and debris. Then you just need to knead the putty in your fingers. When it is totally mixed, press the putty into the damaged area of the tile. Try to make the repair as small as possible and as low as possible.

Once the putty is applied, you can carefully use painter's tape to mask the surrounding tile and then sand back the putty so it is completely flush with the tile's surface.

You can then paint the putty in a similar colour to the tile. Note that the paint is a temporary fix and will need to be reapplied when it starts to fade. - MitchellMc and EricL
