Hi there,
My outdoor balcony looks dirty eventhough i tried washing a few times with detergent. Any idea on why it looked like this ? And any tips on how to maintain outdoor balcony floors?
Katherine
Hi @hlau6386
It almost looks like some minerals appearing from under the floor giving a un even floor finish.
If your floor isn't sealed I would consider using a top quality one to preserve the floors beauty.
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @hlau6386. It's sensational to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about cleaning pavers.
It looks like your balcony floor might have some stubborn stains or white efflorescence (salt marks) that detergent alone hasn’t been able to remove. I recommend using a cleaner specifically designed for outdoor pavers, as it’s much stronger and more effective for tackling these types of issues. Pair this with a stiff bristle brush to scrub the surface thoroughly, which can help lift the salt marks and any ingrained dirt. Once your tiles are clean and dry, as @Jewelleryrescue mentioned, sealing them can be a great way to prevent future discolouration and make maintenance much easier. This will help keep your balcony looking fresh and clean for longer.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
