I have existing crazy pave that needs to be relevelled and new grout. Historically I have used a sand and cement mix 1-4 parts. I am wondering as an alternative if I can use acrylic render as a substitute?
Hello @Stuartb00
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about fixing your crazy pave.
From an installation point of view, I don't think it will work or will be at least very difficult as render tends to stay on the surface and is not easily washed away or scraped off. Whereas sand and cement are much easier to handle. Plus, if sand and cement are mixed properly, they have a better flow rate than render which has a tendency to turn into slurry if too much water is added.
Let me call on our experienced members @Dave-1 and @Nailbag for their recommendations.

Good Evening @Stuartb00
I have not used any acrylic render before. I do have render I need to repair but would probarly go with a cement and sand mix. I dont like adding manufactured stuff to my yard Yeah I know cement is lol
I would go with @EricL's recomendations for sure.
Dave
Hi @Stuartb00 my recommendation is the same as with @EricL. If your wanting to extend the life, you could consider a masonry sealant once the work has been completed.
