Can old gas bottles be swapped for new?

l have old style 9 and 4.5kg gas bottles. Can I swap these for the new 'safe t lock' bottles?

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us and thanks for sharing your question about swapping your old gas bottles.

If your gas bottle is too old and has too much corrosion on its body the store will not exchange it for a new Swap"n"Go. If your gas bottle has reached its end of service life, I suggest bringing it to a proper gas bottle recycling centre.
