Hi, I am considering putting in a paved patio next to an existing alfresco area.
the job itself is mostly simple, its just a rectangle but coming off the side of the alfresco is a drainpipe from the roof.
I’m not sure if I can lay pavers over this or even how to go about tamping the roadbase without breaking the pipe
Any advice is welcome!
Hello @Ally3
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about paving your patio with a drainpipe in the way.
To save yourself any future issues with the drainpipe, I suggest engaging the services of a licensed plumber and asking them to reposition the drain out of the way of your paving project. Because this is connected to your storm water drain only a plumber is allowed to modify this connection for safety and compliance. Your other option is to build your paved area a little bit shorter just at the edge of the drainpipe.
If you have any other questions we can help with, please let us know.
