I was wondering if anyone has built their own water feature? They seem to be very expensive but i have seen water pumps and some parts for sale online.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Hi @bex1981,
Sounds like a great project. I trust our clever and creative members will have some suggestions for you. Do you have any pre-existing features to work with, like a pond?
Perhaps you could share some photos of the the water feature, and perhaps any water features that you've seen and liked that you might like to replicate so that members can get a better idea of your goals.
Welcome to the community, we're really pleased to have you join us and look forward to seeing what you can create (with a little bit of help from our amazing members).

Hi @bex1981
A few years ago I built a water feature using a 'micro corrugated' metal sheet. I don't have any photos, unfortunately, but it was great to work with and you can use and apply it to your requirements and imagination. I had serene coloured lights shining up to the metal (adjustable to different angles) as the water gently rippled down from above. The sound of the water was beautiful and could be adjusted based on water flow/angle and distance of the bottom of the sheet to the pool/pond below. Good luck, Al

G'day @bex1981.
This is a project I am planning on doing for my alfresco in the near future. Love the sound of trickling water.
Here are a couple of things I have bookmarked for future reference....
This is a solar pump at Bunnings I have been considering...

This is a video from the people who make the solar kits...
I was planning on experimenting with reclaimed materials I have here and the only real cost would be the solar pump.
Hope that helps in some way and let us know how you go as it's something I'm definitely interested in.
Good luck!
