Hi all.
We have finally completed our backyard makeover after doing a bunch of smaller projects to bring it together. There will always be more adjustments but for now.. it's done !

Nice!
Did you do anything around the Hot Water System?
I had an ugly pair of gas bottles on the back deck, and built a little box around them using 19 x 39 hardwood slats. (same building method as planter boxes. Make it a bit longer than needed, and make one panel hinged, and you have somewhere to store garden bits and pieces.
The same sort of box could go around the HWS, making it rectangular in plan view (as square looks odd); or stepping it to create a bench or a planter box on one (both?) sides.
.
Thank you. That sounds like a lovely idea for dealing with those bottles. Could you show us how it turned out? I'd love to see.
I am thinking about covering up mine as well but for now I have placed a screen in front of it so it's not too obvious.
Hi @diy_hausdesigns ,
We sold that house and moved about two years back, I don't think I have any photos of it.
It had an extra shelf inside, there was a large gas bottle that was rented, and a smaller 45kg bottle to use while waiting for a bottle swap.
It was basically H3 frame ( 44x35 by ripping 90x35 ) with the 19 x 39 HWD screwed on with SS decking screws.
Thanks @mich1972 . That's very kind of you.
I will be updating the photos in a few days. The lawn and plants have now grown and settled in.
Regards
Hi all.
Just an update from my last post (a while ago) on the backyard reno. I've tweaked a few things since then and the lawn and plants have settled in a bit better now. We also entertained some friends a family over the holidays and we definitely love how it feels out here.
After.

That looks fantastic, @diy_hausdesigns! Congratulations and many thanks for sharing your update with us.
