$0 cost backyard lighting

..well more like $28.99 X 2. I'll explain.

After some researching and a bit of  trial and error, I found these solar flood lights which I recently installed onto my screen with some handy DIY creativity.

Ongoing cost = $0.00.

Ambience in backyard = $28.99* !

Created a small platform attached to a screening panel.

Full brightness on when the sensor is activated. (drops down to low lever light thereafter)

Placed the other light on the window screen. Very Impressed with the brightness.

Re: $0 cost backyard lighting

I would suggest that the highest output unit would be the most suitable @tony1982. I wouldn't say solar powered flood lights are exceptionally powerful compared to a 240v floodlight. Even the most powerful solar light might only be half the strength of a traditional floodlight. I'd almost immediately exclude the Arlec 70 Lumen LED Garden Spot Solar Light as 70 lumen is not particularly bright, but it might be ok for ambient light. The Gardenglo 500lm Solar Powered Twin Flood Lights should provide adequate light for the BBQ, and like all the units, the stake can be removed. Once the stakes are removed, the brackets can instead be used to mount the units to your surface.
