How to paint timber furniture?
November
Hi, I have this piece of furniture and I would like to paint it of white without sanding. Is there a sealer I can use before painting so I can paint it?

Re: painting Furniture

Hi @tamaraml,
Thank you for your question about painting varnished furniture.
I'd suggest having a look at How To Paint Over Varnished Timber which provides all the information you'll need for this project.
Unfortunately, a small amount of sanding is necessary, but removing all of the varnish will not be required.
After the light sanding, an undercoat is all you will need before painting.
Let me know if you have any further questions.
Jacob
