Re: how do i paint my ref brick internal wall to make it look modern and stonewashed like

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @Mazanhanga. It's amazing to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about stonewashing a wall.

Would you be able to post a picture of your brick wall and any inspiration images of the stonewashed effect you're hoping to achieve? That way, our community members can offer more tailored advice. Let me know if you need a hand uploading images.

A stonewashed effect on red bricks is typically achieved using a diluted paint wash or limewash. One method is to mix equal parts water and white or light grey paint to create a thin wash, then apply it with a brush or sponge, allowing some of the brick's texture and colour to show through. You can adjust the coverage by dabbing with a cloth or using a dry brush technique to soften the finish. Limewash is another option, as it naturally soaks into the brick and creates a more weathered, breathable finish. If your bricks are sealed, you may need to lightly sand them or use a primer to ensure good adhesion.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
