My storage box using salvaged timber

I made this timber box many years ago.

The wood came from a large kitchen bench which I salvaged from

a building which was once owned by one of the Breckler family.

The Brecklers were the owners of Cecil Brothers Shoe Stores.

The wood has been stripped of the laminex top, then sanded 

and cut to size.

The joints are Dovetails.

I hope you like this glorious box.

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. Thank you for joining us and sharing this beautifully made storage box.

Even though you've built this some time back, the design elements you've used have made it timeless. The dovetail gives it a classic woodworkers touch. The effort that you've put into the build separates it from mass-produced timber boxes. The trims at the top and bottom give it an excellent definition.
