Hi all
im trying to put the light cover back onto my ceiling fan and it has spring clips i think they’re called. How do you get it back on without cracking it? Its plastic btw.
Thanks
Hello @TiffanyP
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your light cover.
The tin clips are meant to settle inside the lip of the light cover. I suggest starting the installation with cover in hand at a slight angle make sure to catch at least one of the clips on the inside lip of the cover. Slowly rotate the cover so that it hooks onto the second clip. Once you have them hooked on carefully level the cover so that it hooks onto the third hook. Use a slow rotating motion to position the lamp cover.
If the plastic is too brittle, I suggest looking for the brand and model number of the ceiling fan and see if you can obtain a new lamp cover from the manufacturer.
If you need further assistance, please let me know.
