How to repair wooden floor cracks

Hi

 

I need your help to repair my living room wooden floor. Please see above image automatically  cracks are developing. How can I repair?

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community @24poon. It's terrific to have you join us, and many thanks for your question about repairing floorboards.

It might be difficult to repair the floorboards so the damage can't be seen. Damage of this severity would normally be addressed by replacing the board. A tradesperson skilled in repairing flooring can cut out the board and install a new one without having to pull all the boards up. However, finding a matching board could be troublesome.

You could attempt a repair of the board by using Waxstix. They are meltable sticks of wax that are used as fillers. To get a good match you'll need to use multiple colours and add the darker grain into the mix.
