How to repaint loft bed that has been spray painted?
Hi I recently purchased a loft bed secondhand. The previous owner spray painted it white. I am wanting to repaint it white or maybe dark grey yet to decide (opting for brush or roller not spray paint) and hoping for some advice including sanding (what sandpaper), priming and what paint. The for dummies version would be great as it’s my very first project!

Hi @LauraJ,
A warm welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is fantastic to have you with us.
As they have used a light colour that appears well bonded, you won't need to do a whole lot of sanding and preparation. Start by giving it a light sand with 120 grit sandpaper, focusing on the splinters and any rough areas. Once you can run your hand over the surface and there are no rough sections, you are good to go.
Once you're happy with your sanding, give the whole surface a clean with sugar soap. This will get the surface ready for your primer.
You can then use a water-based primer such as Dulux 1Step Prep Primer, Sealer & Undercoat to paint the whole surface. Use a high-quality sashcutter brush alongside a UNi-PRO 85mm Little Ripper Mini Foam Roller to coat the bed.
Once the primer has dried, apply two coats of your chosen water-based paint.
