I've just bought and installed these rollers but they mostly don't turn as the window is open/shut. I've cleaned the tracks and ensured there are no burrs etc. but can't work out why?
Hello @Justin3
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your sliding window.
The only reason I can think of for your window not to run on the rollers is that perhaps they are installed too low inside the frame of the window itself. Are there any screws that can be adjusted to change the height of the carriage? If there is, I suggest adjusting the screw to see if you can change the height of the carriage. With the wheel fully extended it should make contact with the rail and allow the window to slide properly.
Let me call on our experienced members @Dave-1 and @Nailbag for their suggestions.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.

Hi @Justin3
I suspect that there is a screw allowing you to loosen and tighten the rollers within that vertical slot. Loosen the screws and lower the wheel assembly once the window is installed.

Good Evening @Justin3
Are they the exact same model of the ones in your existing window? I have been down the track with very similar rollers for windows only for them not to fit quiet right. Do you have a photo of them in your window and also whatever is left of the old ones? (My old ones were worn in half pretty much)
Dave
Yes, the rollers are exactly the same and the wheels can spin freely as soon as the weight of the window is lifted off them. I actually think the problem might be they are not able to carry a window of that size/weight because it is the 3 bigger windows that they don't roll on!?
I will try that thanks, but I don't think the wheels are being impeded from turning, I worry it is just the weight of the window and bad initial design?
Thank you, I will try that
Good Evening @Justin3
Looking at the last photo it shws the center spine of the track resonably flat. I wonder if its worn down as the window has been dragged back and fourth over the years. My window track looks to be in the same state btw. The wheel of the newly installed rollers looks like its also worn already?
I figure that center spine should be a much smoother rounded top to it.
Dave
Ah, that's an interesting thought about the centre spine, I'll have a closer look! The wheel however is okay, it's just the photo I think. Thank you
