How to fix chipped tile without replacing it?

Hi

Attached image shows a tile that has been chipped off due to a heavy item dropped on to it accidentally. Tried looking around for tiles and couldn't find anything matching. Can I repair this without needing to replace it?

Much appreciated.

Re: How to fix chipped tile without replacing it?

Hi @salcomp,

A warm welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community and thank you for your question.

I'd suggest heading in-store and grabbing some PC-11 56g White Epoxy Paste, some fine sandpaper, a craft brush and a variety of colour cards from the paint shop that are similar to the colour of your tile.

Head home, compare the colour cards with the tiles, and select the closest one. Then, head back to the store and ask them to mix up a sample pot for you.

Give the chips a clean to remove any loose material then fill the hole with the epoxy paste.

Allow it to dry and give it a light sand to smooth it and blend it in with the tile.

You can then use your craft brush to paint the filler to match the tiles.

This will give you a solid repair that blends in nicely.

Let me know what you think and if you have further questions, please don't hesitate to ask.

Jacob
