I have moved in to see this in the bedroom - is this easily replaced? Can I fix this myself?
Hi @alana2286,
From the image I'm not entirely sure what is going on here. Is the window missing a fitting that would be used to hold it shut? If so, installing one shouldn't be too much of an issue. If you can take an image from slightly further back showing the whole window and then some more with the window closed if possible, I'm sure we'll be able to come up with some solutions and window locks that would suit.
Please let me know if you have any questions.

I can’t show the window closed because I can’t close it at the moment it’s being held by duct tape.
Hi @alana2286,
It appears that this window would have previously had a window winder on it. Do you have other windows with winders on them that you could check for a brand to ensure you purchase one that suits the cutout in the frame and mounting holes? It would be best to replace it with the same type to ensure correct fitment. Alternatively, you could pick up the Remsafe Stainless Steel Black Window Winder and see if it fits. You'll likely need to drill new mounting holes in the window frame. Due to the proximity to the glass, I would encourage you to enlist the services of a handyperson if you are not confident about the installation yourself.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
