How to fix a damaged timber skirting board?
Hi everyone,
I accidentally dropped a picture frame and chipped my timber skirting board. What’s the best way to fix it? Any tips for a seamless repair? 😅
Thanks!

Re: How to Fix a Damaged Timber Skirting Board?
Hello @marianav
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your skirting board.
It looks like the damage is not so bad, I suggest removing the pieces that are complete loose and are no longer attached to skirting board itself. For the parts that are loose but still attached, I suggest using Selleys® 5g Power Grip™ Super Strong All Purpose Glue Adhesive to reattach them to the skirting board. For the gap that is left, I recommend using UNi-PRO 500g Multi Purpose Interior Filler - 500g. Your goal is to sculpt the filler in such a way that it will line up with the existing skirting boards design.
Once the filler cures, I suggest sanding the filler with a Rocket Sanding Sponge Kit - 10 Pack to get straight finish on the repair. Once you've finished sanding, I suggest visiting your local store and getting some colour sample cards from the paint department and see if you can find a similar colour to your skirting board. Once you find one ask the paint department to mix up a sample pot to touch up the damaged section.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.
Eric
