please could someone help me learn how to build this fridge in? I have built the cupboards in but not sure on the fridge. I’d like it all to look built in thank you
Hi @Jersey1975,
To build in your bar fridge, you have a couple of options depending on how you want the final look to turn out. One simple way is to purchase or build a custom base cabinet for the fridge. You could leave the door off the cabinet and then add trim around the perimeter of the fridge to cover the gaps and give it a built-in look. This option can help integrate the fridge seamlessly into the surrounding cabinetry.
Alternatively, you could build a frame and plinth to elevate the fridge slightly. This will allow you to match the height of the fridge with the other base cabinets and create a consistent look across the space. By framing the fridge and adding trim around it, you can ensure the appliance blends in well and looks like a permanent part of the cabinetry.
The biggest aesthetic improvement will come from elevating the fridge with a plinth, as this will allow you to incorporate a kick panel at the bottom, making it look more integrated with the surrounding cupboards. You can finish off the look with trim to hide any remaining gaps.
Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you
how would I go about building a frame? A plinth I’m ok with but not a frame
Hi @Jersey1975,
I created a couple of renderings for you to help illustrate. It's fairly straightforward. You'll just need to create a platform to raise the fridge and then a frame around it so you can attach trim onto.
Let me know if you have questions.

Wow thank you what would should I use please?
Hi @Jersey1975,
70 x 35mm Pine can be used for the framing, and then the trim work sizes would be determined by the size of the gaps around the fridge @Jersey1975. I'd suggest you use DAR Pine for the trim pieces. A piece of plywood would be suitable to go on top of the frame and for the fridge to sit on.

Thank you soooo much!
Mitchell how do I attach the framing pieces vertically either side of fridge to plinth pls?
Hi @Jersey1975,
You can use an angle bracket such as these Carinya 100 x 100 x 40 x 6mm Galvanised Heavy Duty Angle Brackets with Zenith 10 - 8 x 50mm Galvanised Countersunk Rib Head Timber Screws.
This will give you a nice strong connection to the plinth with the top pieces of framing bracing the verticals horizontally.
Let me know what you think and if you have further questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
Jacob
