How to cover a corrugated metal fence with wood panelling?

We have a very small indoor sun room (a converted outdoor patio). It has a corrugated metal fence (which was built onto our next door neighbours fence by the previous home owners ) ideally what we want to do is cover this with horizontal wood panels to give it a ship-lap feel. As the corrugated metal fence has a repeated wavy pattern should we insulate it first for both heat and moisture? and if so what with? any help would be wonderful, thank you!

This is an old photo, not our decor but you can see the fence here.

This is what i would like the wall to look like as an example:

Hello @MrsR

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about your corrugated metal wall.

I suggest having a look at the Easycraft EasyVJ panels, this would be an ideal cover for that area. However, it will be necessary to build a light-weight timber frame to hold the panels in place. The timber frame can also hold the insulation in place.

I suggest using Earthwool R2.7 SHD 90mm x 430mm x 1160mm 5.0m² Insulation SoundShield Wall Batt - Pack of 10 along with Ametalin 1350mm x 10m SilverWrap LD Reflective Wall Insulation.

Here is a link to the Easycraft brochure: Easycraft

Here is the installation guide for the Easycraft panel: Easycraft Installation

Here is a fantastic example of how you can use EasyVJ panels for decoration - Recessed TV feature wall with EasyVJ panels by @ProjectPete.

If you have any other questions we can help with, please let us know.

Eric
