How to build bed storage platform?

Hello!

I have a small space and have been wanting to lift my double bed of the ground and add some storage. I have 0 experience with building or anything handy and really need some advice : )

It is a fantastic project to be undertaking, but I'm afraid it will require you to have some experience when handling wood working tools. Your project has a medium level of complexity and when divided into separate parts is actually about two activities in one.

For example, the bed frame will need to be built unless of course your current double bed can be adapted for your needs. You'll need to build a cabinet base under the bed where you'll put your clothing and shoes. There are many examples online, it all depends on how complex you want to make it.

By undertaking this basic project, you'll familiarise yourself with the fundamental concepts and skills needed to tackle larger endeavours.
