Hello, I've just moved into a new rental property and the vertical blinds in the bedroom are poor at blocking the light.
There isn't a big enough recess for a tension rod but I found this room divider online which I think would work well for this purpose:
It's quite expensive because it has to ship from overseas so I figured I might be able to do it myself.
I'm sure Bunnings has the curtains and curtain rail but what about the vertical rods? These have rubber stoppers on the end and are height adjustable.
Thanks.
Hi @ben-d,
A warm welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community and thank you for your question.
Unfortunately, I'm not aware of products that can be combined to perfectly imitate the product in your image.
This Gorilla 155-290cm PIHER Adjustable Multi-Prop is similar to the uprights used, but we'd have to find a way to attach the curtain rods to them.
There are options for room dividers available through Bunnings Marketplace such as this Artiss 8 Panel Room Divider Screen 326x170cm Woven Black or this Costway Mobile Room Divider Privacy Screen Black which are likely better solutions for your problem.
Let me know what you think and if you have any further questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
Jacob
Thanks Jacob,
It turns out that the one in the picture wasn't wide enough anyway.
I did find this on your site:
https://www.bunnings.com.au/windoware-130-244cm-white-springfit-rod-1-pack_p1282818
which would fit vertically from the floor to ceiling.
the question is: how could I attach a hook to these rods for the curtain rod - do you have something like this?:
Thanks
Hello @ben-d
I've had a thorough look and the closest thing I could find that would attach to the pole is the Pillar 25/32mm Brushed Chrome Adjustable Universal Curtain Rod Bracket. You'll need to drill into the pole and use a small nut and bolt to set to keep it in place. You can then hang your room divider on the rail. Please note that if the curtain you are using is too heavy a third pole in the middle of your structure will be necessary.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.
