How do I remove these years old metal hooks from my bedroom walls?
Hello @Ashley33
Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about removing spring toggle hooks.
The spring toggle hooks are generally not meant to be recycled, that's because the toggle once released inside the plasterboard wall is extremely difficult to remove. You would have to create a bigger hole in the wall in order to get the toggle out. What usually happens is that the hook is unscrewed until the toggle falls off inside the wall. You then fill the hole in the wall and paint over it. Just remember to keep tension on the toggle by pulling the toggle towards you as you unscrew it.
Here is a handy step-by-step guide: How to fix a hole in the wall

Thank you so much Eric I managed to easily remove 4 hooks I’ve had in my walls for years by twisting with tension and just losing the back clamp in the wall.
