I have a 2m long entertainment unit that weighs 37 kg which has to be wall mounted. The wall has metal studs. Can this studs bear the weight of this without any issue? What screws should I use for it?
Any advice / recommendations would be highly appreciated!
Hi @ShellyX,
Thank you for your question and welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community, it is fantastic to have you join us.
Are you aware of the specific steel stud system that was used in your home?
If you were, there would be engineering specifications in the design manual for their metal stud system. I'd suggest this is where to look for a definitive yes or no answer.
Due to the width of the entertainment unit, you should be able to get a connection to at least 4 studs, so I'd be fairly confident to say it will be fine.
My suggestion is to use 2 x Zenith 10G x 40mm Galvanised Countersunk Head Metal Screws in every available stud.
To ensure you get a good connection with all available studs, I'd suggest using a stud finder.

Let me know if you have any further questions.
