Ok so I ordered a new mattress and was tossing up buying a base or building one. Saw some nice units in the shops but wow! , a bit pricy.
So off to Marsden Park and Rouse hill stores to recycle their pallets again. Almost known as pallet man by now 😂.
Structural timber was purchased Pine. Strong and light.
Then the recycled bits just happened to come in handy and worked in well. Thicker pallet timber used around top and bottom rails and standard depth pallets used for drawer fronts and handles. Internal drawer timber, slotted pine panels. Cabot’s Walnut and Coco Black stain used.
Another incredible pallet project @DiamondDave. Thanks for sharing.
It's lovely to see not only an affordable solution, but also your unique design. I'm sure all that extra storage is going to come in handy too.
Look forward to seeing what you come up with next.

Hi Gypsii, I will be happy to share my build designs with you. They did change a lot during construction. I kept having new thoughts of idea and modifications.
i will send through some dimensions later this evening or tomorrow to give you a guide.
thanks so much for your interest. I really appreciate it.
Your amazing
I purely wanted to use Pallets if possible hmmm I am new to diy perhaps this project is a wish out of my league? What’s your thoughts
Hi @GypsiiSOUL
@DiamondDave's pallet bed frame with storage is a fantastic D.I.Y. project. If you take a moment to look at the pictures you'll see that it's possible to assemble this step-by-step. It all depends on mattress size. If you're building your frame to the size of a king sized mattress 1980mm x 2030mm. You can use those numbers as a reference for the rest of the build.
I always suggest to plan it on paper first. By visualizing your project, you can get into the details of the build. How the frame is put together, how big the drawers should be and how the panels cover the sides of the frame. Once you gather all the separate parts of your plan you'll see that it can be built in a reasonable amount of time.
Please keep us updated with your progress, we look forward to seeing the start of your bed frame.
If you need further assistance, please let us know.
