My original bedroom furniture made the room look dark and closed in. The dark chocolate coloured bed frame, side tables, tall boy, table and entertainment unit was all a look from the years gone by, and in need of a fresh new look.
Lightening everything to white, makes everything look more vibrant and welcoming. Add in new wall art, a feature wall matching bed linen makes all the difference.
1. Ortiz Sander
2. White undercoat and primer paint
3. Gloss finish wood paint - Hog Bristle Quarter
4. screwdriver to remove handles
5. paint brushes and tray
6. Dulux Matt gold spray can
Lightly sanded all the furniture and applied the undercoat & primer (with my little helper)
Painted all the furniture in the Dulux Hog Bristle Quarter paint, and sprayed all the handles from black to Matt gold.
Painted the feature wall Dulux Heavenly blue, added a beach theme canvas print and almost matching bed linen.
Added some shell and candle accessories to complete the look.
Congratulations on the stunning beach-themed makeover of your bedroom @NickiM! Lightening everything to white and updating the furniture has created an amazing atmosphere. The wall colour choice, beach-themed wall art, and matching bed linen, truly complete the look; you've added so many nice touches.
Well done on transforming your bedroom into a coastal oasis!
