Baby mobile stand

We were given this gorgeous mobile but were struggling to work out how to hang it above the change table. So we decided to make this stand out of Tasmanian Oak doweling and an old marble lamp base we had laying around. See below a list of materials purchased from Bunnings to assemble.

Re: Baby mobile stand

Hello @DIYgals

That is such a lovely baby mobile stand and what an excellent use of the marble base! Will you be clear coating it or leaving it as is? If you do deice to clear-coat it, I propose looking at Cabot's 1L Satin Clear Benchtop Timber Finish. It resists stains is heat resistant and food safe. Another option is Gilly's 200 ml Food Safe Wax, just make sure not to apply it at the pivot point of the mobile.

Thank you for sharing such a wonderful project.
