How to replace kitchen faucet?

Hiya,

our kitchen faucet has been leaking for a while, unscrewed the screw, pulled the top of the faucet out and replaced the o rings, but some of the metal has been sheared off. (Probably from swiveling side to side for years)

it’s now leaking even more and I want to replace it, but it looks like the copper pipes underneath are “welded” onto the underside of the taps and faucet. Any ideas before I have to call a plumber?

Re: how to replace kitchen faucet

Hello @jonesey96

Welcome to the Bunnings Workshop community. It's sensational to have you join us, and thanks for sharing your question about replacing your kitchen faucet.

In this particular instance, I suggest engaging the services of a licensed plumber. Replacing the spout is a bit involved especially if the entire set has to be re-levelled due to the spout's bottom inlet. It's semi complex procedure that's best left to the professionals. Poor installation can lead to multiple leaks and poor performance from your spout.

I suggest having a look at the Shaw & Mason Chrome Swivel Cast Sink Spout WELS 3 Star 9L/min as a possible replacement for your old spout.

If you need further assistance, please let us know.

Eric
