benchtops storage

Just moved into a rental with a small kitchen. It has floor units but no wall units. Would appreciate ideas to create benchtop storage for cups, plates etc that can be removed easily without leaving any damage. I've a corner area approx 1.5 metres x 50cm. Any ideas would be really.

PS I have absolutely no woodworking skills.

Could we please trouble you for some photos of your kitchen? It would really help members to see what you are working with and provide more specific and helpful advice.
