Hi. I’m planning to re-finish our timber dining table.
The plan is to sand it and apply a hard wearing finish.
Can you please recommend a hard wearing finish that’s safe for dining tables? Thank you!
Hello @archerwinmakes
Thanks for sharing your question about re-finishing your timber dining table. I propose using an electric sander such as the Ryobi 300W Random Orbital Sander ROS300-S. This will definitely cut down your sanding time in half.
I propose using Cabot's 1L Satin Clear Benchtop Timber Finish, it is highly durable, heat and stain-resistant, it's a fast-drying varnish that is safe for use on living area and kitchen timber benchtops when the surface is fully cured. Once fully cured, it is resistant to chemicals, oils and heat from hot cups/mugs. This clear sealer is designed to be used on be used on benchtops and provides a tough finish.
