This was my old vintage dressing table. We revamped, up cycled & integrated it, into the bottom section. For the top part we used old pieces of wood, dowel, handles & coloured vintage glass. Tiled in the check tiles. Added a benchtop.
grout & glue from Bunnings for the tiling.
nails & screws from Bunnings
paint for the whole kitchen from Bunnings.
dowelling from Bunnings
Pantry cupboard from Bunnings
Revamped the bottom dresser.
Created the top retro part out of mostly off cuts.
Recycled old glass doors by painting them & using up top
sanded & painted old floorboards as the bench top
used dowelling to create the plate rack
tiled in the tiles
added a pantry on the side & used an old mirror and paper plates for decor
used faux stick on cling film on to the other doors, top and bottom to get the stained glass look
revamped old kitchen handles by decoupaging & painting left over wood as backing
boards
Hi @Patsy60,
Thank you for sharing this wonderful project.
What a unique retro kitchen cabinet you've made.
The bright colours and unique decorations give a great vintage vibe reminiscent of an old-school diner.
Congratulations on a brilliant project.
Jacob
Hi Jacob
Thank you so much
We loved creating this retro vibe. Best of all it’s recycling & reinventing which we love doing. The kitchen now always makes me smile
No worries @Patsy60.
Completely agree. A project with recycled materials always feels that little bit better.
I'm so glad that it makes you smile. It certainly made me smile and I'm sure others will too.
