Hi All
Can anyone please recommend quality brand names of taps where we can easily replace the washers ourselves please?
We were advised not to buy the cheap brands
Thank you in advance,
Nathalie
Afternoon @mrs_njr
I have replaced a couple of taps only and for the life of me I couldnt tell you the brands. However another way you could approach the question is
- No cheap brands (after sales service and lifespan so if you go to replace they may not be around so easily)
- See if the instructions to install make sense and nothing specilised (or specilised knowledge) is needed.
- Imagine taking the tap off the wall while looking at the packaging of taps you like. I did that when I was looking for replacement taps for my shower as trying to remove the old ones I burred them. So my new ones are chrome and can be taken off using a runnerised stap wrench.
With the brands @JacobZ has mentioned Caroma I have used as I recognised the name.

I think I've been leading you up the garden path.
They're wall taps?
However, they impressed me greatly - so I put a pair on a vanity. 😁
I'm sure they were less than $50 @JacobZ
Hi @Noyade,
They look to be these taps - Estilo Chrome Wall Top Assembly Set.
Estilo are also a great brand that Bunnings has a wide variety of at a very reasonable price.
Jacob
Cheaper than I thought! 😁
Well, I for one highly recommend them.
Cheers.
They look like the ones I installed in my shower, they were so easy to install it wasnt funny. Pain in the neck was the old cream coated taps from the 80's lol
Just realised the question was for kitchen taps, the things are still the same I look for with an added one for checking how easy a long gooseneck tap will be easy to install (if the instructions have decent instructions Id be storing them in a file called kitchen essential )

"Just realised the question was for kitchen taps"
Yes - I did not read the header very well - sorry. 😔
